大阪府の寝屋川市は7月9日、市議会で「空き家税」の条例を決めました。だれも住んでいない家を持っている人から、市が独自の税金を取ります。売る予定や貸す予定がある家は、対象になりません。市の空き家は約1万5000戸ありますが、そのうち約6400戸が税金の対象になる見込みです。税金の額は、家と土地の固定資産税をもとに計算した金額の35%です。市の全体を対象にする空き家税は、全国で初めてです。京都市にも空き家税がありますが、こちらは市の一部だけが対象です。寝屋川市は2029年度に始めたいと考えていて、これから国と手続きを進めます。市長は、お金を集めることが目的ではなく、使われていない家が売られたり貸されたりするようにしたいと話しています。
