秋の味覚のサンマが、今年も不漁になりそうです。水産庁などは七月末に、八月から十二月までのサンマの予想を出しました。日本の近くの海に来るサンマは約四十三万トンで、去年の四割ぐらいだそうです。二〇〇三年に調査を始めてから、いちばん少ない数字です。一匹の重さも百グラムぐらいで、去年より小さくなります。八月十日には北海道でサンマ漁が始まりましたが、とれたサンマはとても小さかったです。海の様子が変わって、サンマの通る道が遠くなったと言われています。今年の秋も、サンマの値段は高いかもしれません。
