九月一日から、日本の交通ルールが変わりました。中央線や車線がなく、速度の標識もない道路は、生活道路と呼ばれます。この生活道路では、車の法定速度が時速60キロから30キロに下がりました。警察庁によると、全国の一般道路のおよそ七割がこの生活道路です。生活道路は幅がせまく、歩く人や自転車が多いので、事故が起きやすいです。ぶつかったときの車の速度が30キロを超えると、歩く人が死ぬ危険が急に高くなります。だから、速度を下げることになりました。ただし、速度の標識がある道路では、これまでどおり標識の速度を守ってください。中央線がある道路も、今までと同じ60キロです。せまい道に入ったら、必ず速度計を見ましょう。
