10月11日から20日までの10日間、日本の全国で「地域安全運動」が行われます。警察と防犯協会、地域の人たちがいっしょに犯罪をふせぐ活動をします。今年の全国の重点は三つです。一つ目は「特殊詐欺」の被害をふせぐことです。うその電話でお金をだまし取る犯罪で、外国からかかってくる電話が使われることが多いので、警察は、使わない人は家の固定電話で国際電話を休止するように呼びかけています。二つ目は、地域の防犯の力を強くすることです。見守り活動や防犯教育、防犯カメラなどを進めます。三つ目は、人を犯罪に手伝わせないための対策です。「かんたんで高いお金がもらえる」というアルバイトの募集には、絶対に応募しないでください。10月11日は「安全・安心なまちづくりの日」です。
