日本の政府は9月25日、新しい役所「防災庁」を11月2日に作ることを決めました。今、災害の仕事は内閣府の中の部署がしていますが、11月からは内閣の下の独立した役所になります。防災庁は、地震や台風が起きたときの対応だけでなく、災害が起きる前の準備や、災害の後の復旧も担当します。働く人の数も今より増える予定です。防災担当の大臣は、ほかの省庁に対応を求める勧告をすることができます。将来は地方にも拠点を作る計画があります。ただし、私たちの生活のルールはあまり変わりません。火事やけがのときは119番、避難の指示は市区町村から出ます。ハザードマップと避難場所を、今のうちに確認しておきましょう。
